The Norwegian Duo Marcus & Martinus will be the Swedish Ace Up the Sleeve at This Year's Eurovision
Sweden, which won last year, will be represented in this year’s Eurovision final by the brothers from Norway.
On May 11th, the final of the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden. This year, Sweden will be represented by Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen, known as Marcus & Martinus or M&M, thanks to the victory of singer Loreen last year in Liverpool with the song “Tatoo”.
The Gunnarsen brothers are identical twins born on February 21st, 2002, in Elverum, Norway. Marcus & Martinus began their career in 2012 when they won the 11th edition of the Melodi Grand Prix Junior with the song “To dråper vann” (“Two Drops of Water”). Their song then reached the eighth position on the Norwegian charts.
Three years later, they released their debut album “Hei”, which peaked at number one on the Norwegian charts on November 15th, 2015. In 2016, their second album “Together” was released, followed by the album “Moments” in 2017.
In the spring of 2022, the duo won the Swedish version of “Masked Singer”, and thanks to their victory in the Melodifestivalen competition in 2023, they will represent Sweden at this year’s Eurovision with the song “Unforgettable”.
