The Life Story of Priscilla Presley, the Wife of the Legendary Singer

Priscilla Presley was born as Priscilla Ann Wagner on May 24, 1945, in New York. On April 17, 1950, her last name was changed to Beaulieu (after her stepfather), and in 1956, the entire family moved from America to West Germany. On September 13, 1959, the then 14-year-old Priscilla met 24-year-old Elvis Presley at a party in Bad Nauheim. The famous singer was serving in the U.S. Army in West Germany at that time.

Priscilla and Elvis spent a lot of time together until his departure back home in March 1960. The couple remained in contact through phone calls until 1962 when she visited him in America. Priscilla and Elvis eventually got married on May 1, 1967, in Las Vegas. The ceremony lasted only eight minutes. On February 1, their only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was born. The famous couple eventually divorced in 1973.

In her later life, Priscilla focused on business and acting, and her character was portrayed in several biographical films. Most recently, in the film “Priscilla” based on Priscilla’s book “Elvis and Me” (1985), released in 2023 and directed by Sofia Coppola, the role of Priscilla was played by actress Cailee Spaeny.
