The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) are annually presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Films nominated from around the world can receive awards in various competitive categories, such as “BAFTA Award for Best Film,” “BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role,” and “BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.”
The film with the most nominations this year (a total of 13) is “Oppenheimer” (2023), directed by Christopher Nolan, followed closely by “Poor Things” (directed by Yorgos Lanthimos in 2023) with eleven nominations.
The 77th BAFTA Awards will be presented on February 18th at a ceremonial event held at London’s Royal Festival Hall. The event will be hosted by actor David Tennant and can be watched via BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7pm to 9 pm.
