Television and film actor Kenneth Mitchell has passed away.

Kenneth Mitchell, the Canadian actor renowned for his performances in “Star Trek: Discovery” and as the father of Carol Danvers in “Captain Marvel” (2019), passed away at the age of 49. Mitchell’s battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a severe neurological disorder known for causing paralysis and eventual death, was bravely fought for more than five years.

His portrayal of diverse characters in both television (such as in the series “Jericho,” 2006) and film (for example, in the movie “The Recruit,” 2003) showcased his versatile talent, leaving a lasting impression on fans and colleagues alike.
