Following the medical procedures undergone by King Charles III and Princess Kate, during their recovery and hiatus from official engagements, Prince Edward (56) has also decided to take a break. Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh and the youngest sibling of the king, announced that he will take a short pause after his official travels.
In January, the prince visited South Africa and the island of Saint Helena, known for Napoleon Bonaparte’s internment during the last six years of his life, leading to his death in 1821. Prince Edward plans only a brief respite and is expected to attend a reception at the Institute of Physics on February 8th.
