At this year’s Eurovision, which will take place from May 7th to 11th in Malmö, Sweden, the representative of the Netherlands will be the singer, rapper, and musician Joost Klein, briefly known as Joost.
Joost Klein was born on November 10, 1997, in Leeuwarden. He started his career at the age of eleven when he launched a channel on YouTube under the name “EenhoornJoost” (English: “UnicornJoost”). In 2016, he released the Extended Play (EP) “Dakloos” (English: “Homeless”), which focused on music. In 2017, he released an album titled “Scandinavian Boy,” and a year later, he collaborated with Dutch rapper Donnie. In the same year, his poetry collection “Albino” was published In 2023, his single “Friesenjung,” on which he collaborated with rapper Ski Aggu, achieved success in Germany, topping the GfK Entertainment charts.
On December 11th, it was announced that Joost Klein would represent his country at Eurovision in 2024 with the song “Europapa,” which reached the top of the Dutch Single Top 100 chart.
