During a concert in Las Vegas, U2’s singer Bono paid tribute to the memory of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

On Saturday, February 17, during U2’s concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas, singer Bono paid tribute to the memory of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny (1976 - 2024), who died on Friday, February 16, in prison.

In his speech during the concert, he recalled the war in Ukraine that began two years ago and highlighted Navalny’s personal sacrifice. In 2021, Navalny returned to Russia, where he was arrested and imprisoned based on charges widely regarded as manipulated.
