Austin Butler stars in “Masters of the Air”, a compelling war drama that has been in the making for a long time. The television miniseries, slated for Apple TV+ and directed by multiple directors (Cary Joji Fukunaga, Dee Rees, Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, Tim Van Patten), is produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks (They are also behind another World War II period series, “Band of Brothers”, 2001).
Its goal is to captivate audiences with an intense portrayal of the actions of the 100th Bomb Group (flying in B-17 Flying Fortress) during World War II. Based on the book by Donald L. Miller, the series, whose production began in 2012, features not only Austin Butler but also actors like Callum Turner,Anthony Boyle, and Nikolai Kinski. The premiere is scheduled for January 26, 2024.
